Abby and I really enjoyed that.
That is awesome that Abby watched it too. That girl is gonna have a good eye for art when she gets older.
this is wonderful. i love the care and attention they at tin house have been giving your book. it is all so well deserved. i'd like a film to be made with the whole thing - all the quotes and all the images, i would relish that!
Wow, that was cool!
Lizzy, Tin House has done an amazing job with this book in every single way. It was a true joy to meet them all face to face and actually talk to the people that spent hundreds of hours wrestling this thing into a gorgeous book.
It really was, Buck! It makes me want to try my hand at something similar. When there is time...
I think this is an amazing idea and I've always promised myself that I would read Moby Dick cover to cover in my lifetime. Now I can really do it. Congrats! I'm going to purchase your book. Will you come through Chicago on a book tour?
Larissa, thank you, that is an amazing compliment and I truly hope my humble drawings can live up to it. So far, there have been no plans to come to Chicago but it is one of the few big cities I am able to drive to in a relatively normal amount of time so I am hoping something comes up there. I will post something on this blog the instant it is planned.
Cool! Chicago would love to have you. My good friend runs a bookbinding/art studio and he said he would be happy to host you:http://www.northbranchprojects.com/
